Cryogenic Testing

Cryogenic Testing

Aerospace Fabrication & Materials can provide you with custom testing of your products using its Comparative Cryostat (Cryostat 200). This system measures the apparent thermal conductivity (k-value) of the insulation product including multilayer insulation along with similar passive thermal control products for cryogenic applications. This k-value is determined by measuring the boil-off flow rate of the cryogenic fluid and temperature differential between a cold boundary temperature and a warm boundary temperature under a set vacuum pressure for a known thickness of the testing material.

We provide test results across an entire spectrum of pressures from ambient down to hard vacuum (1×10^-5 torr). Contact one of our technical specialists to discuss your testing needs.
